Barq is becoming one of the most popular digital money transfer apps in Saudi Arabia. Many users use the app for fast international transfers to countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and more. In most cases, Barq transfers are very fast and reliable. However, sometimes users may face a “Money Transfer Under Review” problem.
In this article, I am sharing my real experience with the Barq international transfer under review issue. This article may help other users who are facing the same problem
My First Transaction Was Successful
The first time I used the Barq app, I transferred 50 SAR to my Indian bank account. The transfer was completed successfully within one minute. The money was credited instantly, and everything worked perfectly.
Because of this fast experience, I trusted the Barq app and decided to use it again for international money transfers.
The Problem Started During the Second Transaction
Later, I made two more transfers of 50 SAR each. But this time, both transactions showed the status:
“Under Review”
The amount was deducted from my Barq account, but the money was not credited to my Indian bank account. At first, I thought it was a temporary delay and the transaction would complete automatically after some time.
But even after waiting for several hours and days, the status remained the same.
Contacting Barq Support
After facing this issue, I contacted Barq support through the app. The support team requested several personal verification details, including:
- Iqama information
- Date of birth
- Indian bank account details
- Address information
- Transaction details
I provided all the requested information correctly according to their instructions. However, even after submitting the details, I did not receive an immediate solution from the app support system. And More information
Email Support Helped Me

I sent a detailed email on 20 May explaining the complete problem and attached all the required information and screenshots.
After approximately two days, on 22 May, one of my 50 SAR transactions was refunded and credited back to my Barq account.
This showed that the support team was reviewing the issue seriously. However, even today, one more 50 SAR transaction is still showing “Under Review” and has not been refunded yet.
Important Tip for Barq Users
Based on my personal experience, I noticed that transactions made during late-night hours may sometimes go into manual review or technical review.
So if you are planning to send money using the Barq app, it is better to avoid making international transfers late at night. Try to transfer money during daytime or normal working hours to reduce the chances of delays or review problems.
Is Barq a Good App?
Yes, overall Barq is still a good and useful money transfer application. Most transfers work quickly, and many users receive their money instantly. My first transaction was completed within one minute without any issue.
But like any financial app, technical problems or verification reviews can sometimes happen.
